I heavily apologize for the Necro-posting, but another idea that may further enhance this replay idea was lurking at the back of my mind.
It was something I'd proposed earlier quite some time ago: being able to see which organs/bones/vitals etc., were being crushed, slashed, or otherwise damaged, if you were to land a serious hit on an enemy.
I took inspiration from the two most recent Mortal Kombat games, both of which had a Super meter that, when full, will allow the characters to unleash an "X-Ray move" that caused real serious damage to the enemy, while being able to see bones/organs being visibly damaged.
The zombie survival game, Dying Light, had a similar, but more practical, idea: not only would breaking bones stun the zombies, buying the player time to either counter-attack or escape, but, like in Mortal Kombat, you could actually see the bones you've broken.
While this may seem trivial and unnecessary, in terms of when you're controlling a creature in the actual game, I personally thought that this may add some more immersion when you are editing a replay that you might have recorded during the game.
Here's just one example: You just got done recording a replay that has your individual, a parent (again, an example), fighting with all Belgium and vinegar, with a predator/rival that wants to eat your babies. It's a brutal fight, but you win, and in the process, you deliver a blow so powerful that it cracks your foe's skull, leaving him in terrible pain with such a bad injury that it leaves permanent marks on his skull.
In the game you might only realize that you've done that through audible sounds (in this case the crunching of the bone). However, theoretically, while your editing your awesome battle, a notification in the Replay editor can notify you of any internal (as opposed to external) injuries that you, outside of the gameplay, didn't initially notice.
But, ultimately, this is up to the developers to decide.

It's not a bad idea regarding how to deal with blind creatures and how they react to stuff, and being able to play as a blind species. Real good ideas as to how to deal with such things.
However, I do have concerns regarding how a blind animal's point of view should be handled, specifically the third person and first person points of view.
The original concept of the aware stage, to my recollection, was that the player could alternate between 2 different camera views at will. There was third person, which would more or less work like a typical third person game where the PLAYER would see their individual's entire body and rotate the camera in all directions, i.e., Grand Theft Auto, The Isle, Jaws: Unleashed, while the player would still be seeing the game in real life human vision.
Then there was the first person mode, which is more or less viewing the world the way the player's species views/perceives it.
Ultimately, my questions are: are these original point of views still going to be relevant in the aware stage, or is the way the player's species perceive the environment, animals, etc., going to be universal throughout the entirety of the aware stage?
I do apologize if this post is even slightly off-topic. I'm just somewhat concerned as to how this will be tackled as the aware stage begins development.

Just as a heads-up, I've already created a thread regarding Thrive and Steam. I mean no disrespect, because you do bring up valid points about outreach, and Steam curators. However, as stated in my thread, Steam Greenlight will become obsolete this year. This is my thread regarding the whole Steam scenario.
I hope that my thread clarifies your concerns.

My apologies in advance if this is the wrong area to create this thread. If the mods found another place for it, they are free to move this thread.
Anyway, after watching a video about The Isle's recently released Replay feature which allows players to record their gameplay with an in-game recording system, then replaying their game footage, and modifying them such as changing different camera angles at different times, speeding up/slowing down the footage, etc., that led me to the question: should Thrive also have this Replay/Record system like that of The Isle?
It's been done well before with Team Fortress 2, as well.
Not to mention that when done editing the replay, players had the ability to upload it to YouTube.
I've set up a poll asking for the community's opinions on this matter.

Decided to revise one of my earlier achievement suggestions.
It's Killing for Sport: Kill 10 creatures as a predator without eating the corpses. (Aware)
And here are a few new ones.
Gee, That's Subtle: Invent a heavy, loud weapon. (Society to Space)
Nailed It!: Impale 100 enemies with a sharp weapon. (Aware to Space)
The Saw is Family: Kill 25 enemies with a weapon that has a motorized saw blade. (Industrial to Space)

As far as I remember, LAWK only applies to biological parts. You can have cloaking-devices or other science-fiction machines with LAWK on, because it will be barely impossible to enter the space stage with current technology EDIT: LAWK wouldn't make sense with technology, as, for example, if we manage to get cyborg-implants (which we actually almost already have), the game would have to change to include those in LAWK mode too... Ah, I see now. Thanks for informing me as to what LAWK and non-LAWK are really about.

These are for non-LAWK only.
You Don't Dare Kill It: Evolve acidic blood. (Aware)
I DO Dare Kill It!: Kill a creature that has acidic blood. (Aware to Space)

I sincerely apologize for the super necropost, but a realization about this idea came to me.
I've only JUST realized that there are going to be two versions of the game: LAWK and non-LAWK.
Did a little bit of research and the parasitic genetic inheritance doesn't exist to such a degree on Earth, based on life as we know it.
So that means my idea would only work if it's, somehow, implemented in the non-LAWK version of the game.
From my understanding, LAWK mode is based entirely on Earth-like science and technology, whereas non-LAWK mode primarily focuses on works of science fiction, like cloaking devices, plasma based projectiles, cyborgs, etc.
But what do I know?

Who needs a dentist?: Evolve the ability to regenerate teeth. (Aware)
What are you trying to prove?: Beat the game with LAWK enabled on the hardest difficulty.
Still something to prove: Beat the game with non-LAWK enabled on the hardest difficulty.

I'm not really certain as whether the developers should use Shelter 2 as a template for graphics, which has highly stylized, almost cartoony, graphics, or should aim for more life-like graphics. The reason why I'm skeptical about the future stages' graphics being blocky and stylized is because if you were to look at the current Microbe stage, you'd almost immediately notice the astonishingly realistic graphics in the environments, compounds and the microbes themselves. The Microbe stage isn't even finished yet and look how life-like it is. Why can't the rest of the stages look just as top notch without compromising performance? This is especially true with the animals, plants and environments in the later stages as well. Just my few cents on the issue.

Overpowered Organism: Kill 100 creatures with 1 hit kill attacks. (Aware)

Brain-Less: Kill 50,000 zombies by decapitation, blows to the head, or head shots.* (Society to Space)

I'm not too sure as to whether or not zombies are going to be in the game, so I put that there just in case.

Fair enough.
But what about creating artificial life forms in the style of the Indominus rex in Jurassic World, which was made up of the DNA of multiple species?
Or simply creating an artificial organism from scratch through bio-engineering?
I know of one example being glow fish being engineered by scientists to detect environmental pollutants in real life.
The question is this: would we be able to create an artificial organism through manipulating genetics and bio-engineering?

My original username was Lost Time32 on the Xbox 360 because I've always loved the saying "to make up for lost time" and 32 is my lucky number.
Since then I've been adding variations to my username on various websites and on Steam, like "The Lost Time", "Dr. Lost Time" etc.

I really like this idea of creating technology and what defines it.
What about the tech that the Predators use in the Predator and AvP franchises, such as cloaking devices, plasma and energy based weapons, masks that have different fields of vision, etc.? Would something like those be possible?
Or are these types of tech out of the question?

Just Like in That One Movie: Horizontally bisect a cyborg that has beamed down onto your planet.* (Aware)
Haven't We Seen This Before?: Evolve a creature that has retractable wrist or arm blades. (Aware)
OH GOD, THEY'RE LEARNING: Evolve the ability to communicate as a social creature. (Aware)
The Way of the Hunter: Create and maintain a culture that revolves around hunting worthy game and collecting trophies. (Awakening to Space)
Evolution's Greatest Survivors: Reach ascension as all three major diets without changing diet. (Microbe to Ascension)
*Gore and dismemberment must be turned on in order to get this achievement.
Again, I'm not too sure if vertical and horizontal bisection of creatures will be allowed, so I put that there as nothing more than an idea.
