I think of two ways of making this : 1- The game would make the parts (parts that you already have) you want to change make them look like robotic ones and having a better performance in those parts.(ej. You could robotize your arm , so it would look like a robotic one and it would be stronger) 2-You would enter the creature editor and there would be a new section of robotic parts. You could take off your organic parts and put new robotic ones and having better performance .

Maybe and an anti-matter bomb or something of the like. But you would have to run away from that planet , an anti-matter bomb could really make a whole planet disappear (as long as I know) .

Remember that Thrive is being made without any cost , so reaching good graphics will be hard (but not impossible). I would prefer Spore's graphics but looking more realistic , not so cartoonist . But that's my opinion .

Well , I think of a wolf-like bipedal species which would be omnivorous , but they would often eat meat , as they would eat fruit in case of need . They would live in packs , but they would be organiced in tasks (hunters , babysitters , guardians of their land , ...) , depending on how big is the pack . They have a strong constitution , so they can do hard tasks , as making trees fall , literally (they do this when they cannot reach the fruits they want . When they reach a high intelligence , they learn to use bones and wood as materials for creating a weapon or tool. Later , they learnt that staying in one place would be better for them , as they learnt to domesticate other animals and to grow trees (as they grown in number pretty much and they couldn't eat just meat ) . They then learnt to make better tools and weapons with rocks , and to polish those rocks so those weapons and tools would be more efficient and durable . When metalworking comes , the already developed little villages , but the main problem of this era is that these villages usually attacks others for territory and resources , as there could be like 5 or 6 villages at the bank of a river with a space of 70 letters approx. from each as they always choose the better places to live at , and "Wolfians" (name I invented right now) don't like joining other groups of their species . The most working, stronger and intelligent one in the village is named the "Brave" , who would organice the people on the village and he would be the head of the defense of the city . At the same time , there isn't any religion , as they think that assuming things without researching about them would be silly (you see the potential of this species right there xd ) . Then , we jump into the medieval-like era , which is a great era of prosperity for their kind . Wolfians now prefer to be part of a great city rather than being a small village , so it's common to see deserted little villages out there , with a terrain which will be invaded by the growing cities . There isn't actually things like states , country ,... , as their lands are the places they usually go to ( forests, where they usually hunt and get wood ; rivers or beaches , where they fish and collect shells and things like that which are used to decor their houses ; mountains and caves , where they hunt and mine iron and others,...). There is a common coin for almost every city called the "Wolen" , whose valence is divided in three classes depending on the materials they are made from(1:copper , 4:silver and 8:gold). Farms are located out of the cities , and the guards patrol these farms often so there is no problem with invasions or smuggling . The social status depends on how much do you work , but women's do just simple jobs , never hunting, mining or chopping trees for wood . There isn't any beauty ideal , but women's prefer being voluptuous by some reason , and they are allowed as long as they can still work without problems .
This is the first part of my explanation about my imaginary species XD I will post the next part...when I'm like doing so. xd

I thought about controlling one troop on land and fighting or doing whatever while the invasion XD (I think this would be pretty much to program as it would be hard for an actual computer to carry it :/ , but we can always dream :3)

Seems pretty good in my opinion , but I don't like that much of having territory divided in sections . Territory , in my opinion , should represent your influence on the lands , like , your people get fruits frequently from a forest near their home , then that forest would be influenced by your people as they get food from it , and it would be part of your territory. ( I explain things too badly , sorry :c) Also , if you build houses or whatever in other's territory , then they would destroy them or get angry with you . (My mind finds it cool and realistic , that's all I need xd)

Well, the different species should be located anywhere in the planet depending on the biome , so if you kill a whole nest of one species in the frozen-evolution ,you wouldn't be able to extinct it since there should be a lot more of them in other biomes like the one that species lived at (unlike spore , where there was just one nest for every species in the creature stage) .

Oh... Yea, good point, anyway I just had another thought, what about caves and cave dwelling? Could you have a creature that lives in a cave and comes out at night to feed cause maybe it doesn't see well and it gets around by smell and/or hearing, could that work? I believe it was discussed , but i haven't seen any post about it in the dev forum or reddit . Anyway , it is a good idea having caves being generated in the world , but , in my opinion , i dont want those caves too big , since it would make some PCs sweat without loading screen ( that wouldnt happen if the game is good optimized by the time the game is supposed to be finished ) .

Thats a pretty good idea for me , since it would one the few ways to scape from a predator. About ading it , it "may" not be included in the developpement of that stage , since it is more like a useful detail . Lets wait the opinion of the devs .

Sure thing it would be hard to implement , but maybe modders will make this idea become something if the devs doesnt feel like doing so(i wont disagree if they dont implement it )

About what you said about sky cities , i think it would be very expensive to support this type of cities , due to the amounts of energy it would need for keeping the city floating . At least thats what i think . The only sky city that comes to my mind right now is something like Columbia , from Bioshok Infinite. Even that city would probably be something impossible .

I thought about cities that could be done on huge plataforms in the middle of the ocean. This would be discovered by researching further on floating houses on oceans . What do you think?
