Something like that probably won't happen in a single generation, seeing as how you, the player, can only add two flagella each time you evolve. If it does, then they'll be sure to die out soon enough, assuming CPA is a thing that exists.

It was pretty cool! My family was still talking about it after we left the theater, still trying to understand everything. Plus I'm glad that the aliens were actually aliens and not humanoids for once.

Here's another vector image, this time of Marcphan the Nafryani, one of my made-up aliens. Based on some suggestions made by Atrox, I completely redesigned everything below his head - his legs used to be absolutely ridiculous and he would likely trip over them constantly when walking! I tried to make his body more plausible and less of a leg pretzel.

In video games, 'Meta' is typically used to refer to the strongest strategies/loadouts etc. However, in the context of the forum, Meta means talking about the forum itself, as Atrox said.

Sorry for reviving a dead thread, but I made some floaty creatures on Spore and I didn't want to start a new thread for them. Magenta Floater - A very peculiar sapient creature that uses a large, balloon-like sack of gas on its back to float around. The long, thin tendrils next to the eyes are manipulators. Observer - A mysterious entity, seemingly more mechanical than organic. All it seems to do is watch ominously. Yeah, this one isn't really a creature. I dunno, maybe it's a cyborg? Mystical Guardian - A creature that has been given powerful abilities by a godlike alien empire. It's guarding... something. Not sure what exactly. Most of these creatures' bodies are composed of leg segments used in a way that imitates muscles. All of these, except for the Magenta Floater, use the infamous invisible limb glitch to float around. This gives them a pretty cool movement animation. Magenta Floater Animation (kinda lame)Observer AnimationMystical Guardian AnimationI might redo the Tireeie using the limb glitch, because currently it just drags itself across the ground like a slug.

I made this in Inkscape (vector editing software) because I felt like doing some art I guess? From left to right, the characters represent: Gluttony, Speedy, Algae, Default, Predator, Teeny, and Poisonous. Here are the cells, in the same order, as seen in-game. Gluttony Speedy Algae Default Predator Teeny Poisonous

This is one final look at the #rp channel in the Thrive Discord before it gets taken down. It may be revived here or somewhere else by someone who isn't me. Depends on whether or not the other users were particularly attached to it.
I scroll a bit quickly in the video, so if you actually want to read this stuff you'll have to pause often.

fav.me/danazj5This is Goldenmaw. He was a Tireeie, which were basically space-faring alien fish. (They were space faring because they were uplifted by a mysterious alien race!! They were still stuck in the stone ages for a very long time before that.) He was a villain from the #rp channel in the Discord server. He was one of the most feared pirates in the galaxy. He and his deadly crew had spread death and destruction wherever they went. His horrible acts were finally put to an end by a female Tireeie named Bekseeib, who had killed him with his own trident. Here, he is seen holding said trident - which has an energy shield built into it - and a shiny golden minigun.

I think the game should make a save whenever you reach a new stage. That way you'll be able to go backwards, even if you never manually save at all.

It's dead! Though it is being continued in the Discord Chat in the #rp channel. Unfortunately, that one's a bit inactive too. Still, it got farther than this one did.

Nobody really seems to have a consistent answer! I was pretty sure you were going to start out as an amoeba with one vacuole, and you had to assimilate bacteria to unlock organelles in the editor.

They have to assimilate a bacterium, I think.

Unless I'm really oblivious, I don't think it's been implemented properly yet. They are trying to get the model to work though.
