Hello again! This post is just for a bunch of random ideas that I've come up with for both the current version of the game and possibly later versions as well. (Meaning, some of these might not be possible to be done right away) I'm pretty sure that almost all of these have been discussed already. In fact, I bet that you're already way ahead of me, since I'm not part of the Development Forums and I don't read it very often. Some of these are inspired by things other people have said, too. (not all of them are 100% my ideas) Devs, please don't take this as me insulting you and saying "ur bad at makign gams and im much better," because I'm not; I don't believe it's necessary to implement every single one of these ideas. These are just my input, and they are here for you to possibly take into consideration. More may be added over time as I think of more things. Credits:Maybe they would play after you reached Ascension? (the game would resume after the credits, of course) I think the entire Thrive Theme (Vireo) could play, and perhaps the background would be a slideshow of various pieces of concept art? That'd be cool. No More Cursor Prison:In the windowed version of Thrive, the cursor is stuck inside the game; it can't move beyond the borders of the window. This should probably be fixed, lol. New Games:Clicking 'New Game' creates, well, a new game. Clicking it could first bring up a menu in which you name your planet and specify starting conditions. At the start of the game, there could be a cutscene showing the beginning of life or something. Pause Menu and Saving:Escape (esc) would pause the game. Everything would be darkened or blurred except the pause menu itself, which could look like this or this, although a basic menu like this would be just as good, if not better. (Easier to read and program!) Clicking 'Save' would bring up a popup window asking the player if they wanted to create a new save file or replace an existing one. When creating a new save file, you can give it a name, and when replacing a save file, you can overwrite and (optionally) rename an existing save file. Once a save file has been made or the player has clicked 'Cancel,' the game will return to the pause menu. Clicking 'Exit to Menu' or 'Quit' would bring up a similar window. Loading Games:Clicking 'Load Game' would open a list of all saved games, sorted by which planet they started on (so all games from the same planet would be next to each other) Here, you could load a selected save, as well as rename it or delete it. Additionally, there could be a button to delete all saved games from a certain planet. Skipping Editor:Just the simple option of skipping the editor when the player's organism reproduces, so the player can experience what it's like to be a parent (or whatever comes after reproduction for their organism) This would enable the player to see a part of their organism's life that they don't usually see.

but we cold use the hydothemic ventsOnce again, it'd be nice if mitobox gave a full overview of the Sandfoxes each turn, so players who are just jumping in every now and then can understand what we have and what to do? Well, I'll go with Skyguy98 's plan for now I guess.

So I was wondering. What if the player's organism reaches the Awakening Stage (where evolution stops) and they're still completely aquatic? They wouldn't be able to develop metalworking, and the farthest they'd be able to go is to the society stage. Or, what if a player ends up evolving into a plant, but then they realize they want to be something completely different?
Will there be a way to revert evolutions they've made, or go back to a previous evolution?

Marcphan sets his backpack on the ground, pulls out the mobile device, and searches for nearby hotels. "Seems it's night here already. Should prooobably find a place to stay," Marcphan says to himself.

I was sort of waiting for mitobox to sort of explain where I am, but I can go ahead anyway if you want.

Yeah, there will always be glitches that people will exploit, but that doesn't stop anyone from playing the game normally!
