I do of course refer to just baking in this instance, like simple "bake the grains on a rock over a fire" type baking. Simple pure grain bread, since my people haven't discovered yeast and its properties yet. Well your people do simple cooking already, though that's mainly roasting things over a fire and sometimes mixing some thing together and the longer they cook and the more they experiment the more they will discover different things, some things do need to be discovered or invented first, but baking itself does not really take a vote Ah. I'll just assume it's a bit more common than meat in my tribe's diet.

Wait, would discovering baking (even simple baking) require its own vote, or is it springing up on its own?
Do you mean more advanced cooking or baking specifically? you will have to have a vote for more advanced cooking I think if you want on, but after a few turns other things happen naturally if the circumstances happen. I do of course refer to just baking in this instance, like simple "bake the grains on a rock over a fire" type baking. Simple pure grain bread, since my people haven't discovered yeast and its properties yet.

Though I'll hazard a guess that the Hakshah aren't really baking any bread as of now. Not with that attitude their not! Hah, perhaps not. Though the Mosi producing honey (and having access to spring water) has given me an idea of something to introduce into my tribe's diet in the future.
EDIT: Wait, would discovering baking (even simple baking) require its own vote, or is it springing up on its own?

Why am I down to a tiny power? Is that a mistake?
Skyguy98 I think you made this same mistake with limeyhoney 's Limu Confederation as well.

limeyhoney If I may, there's a possible third option you could take that could benefit not just those Dikls friendly to the Acirema. May I share this suggestion? It can be via PM if you'd prefer that.

So, if you've read the latest posts from me in the main game thread, you'll know I've written up a small piece based in the world of this game. I've decided to post it up here as well so everyone involved can get a gander at it. Mind you it does take some speculation into future turns and doesn't involve every single civilization participating. Here it is:
Joshan tried to avoid shivering in his armor as he rasped the whetstone across the edge of his blade, not so much at the otherwise grating noise he had gotten used to since his days of training in the Imperial Militia barracks in the capital. Not even the slightly cool autumn air that breezed through their makeshift camp and over his mostly bald head could get such a reaction out of him normally. No, today was probably the biggest day of his life, let alone his career in the military.
To try and preempt his mind, he focused more intently on the blade in his hand. A foot and a half long, single-edged, and made of the finest bronze, the sword was something most of the capital’s militia wore day-to-day. Other militias had to make do with issuing spears and simple clubs he’d heard in his first week of training, but the capital city of the Ushnuk Empire would settle for nothing less than the finest soldiers outside of the Lodges.
He could hear faint muttering behind him and to his left, no doubt Dosa muttering prayers to Yndala before the mission. Joshan himself never missed going to the Temple of Altars in the capital at least once every week, but Dosa took it to another level of devotion entirely.
“You’ll wear your tongue out, muttering like that,” he heard his other squad-brother say, no doubt Mintak with his signature scowl on his face. Joshan could almost picture it, Mintak never seemed satisfied with anything anyone in the squad did, whether it was exceptional drills or keeping their equipment to a higher standard of repair. Nothing could seem to get him even slightly happier.
“Oh lay off him Mintak,” piped up Noma, the sole young woman in their squad, “If I was half as devoted, I’d pray like mad to our patron goddess too.”
A huff from Mintak covered up some less than grateful muttering from Dosa as the former retorted, “This is our first major mission, if we don’t keep to the timetable the sergeants gave us then they could give us granary duty for months!” The sounds of hands slapping leather was heard, no doubt Mintak having raised his hands to gesture then bringing them down against his own armor.
Deciding his sword’s edge was sharp enough for what was to come, Joshan stood up and turned around, grabbing his helmet in the meantime. His teammates quieted down instantly as soon as he moved, though Dosa still clutched his sun medallion of Yndalla in his hands. They all wore the same armor; a chest piece of boiled leather backed by wool, boiled leather vambraces on their forearms, armored militia sandals with incorporated shin guards, and helmets made of a molded leather skullcap with a hanging “skirt” of soft leather around the back and sides, framing the wearer’s face. All of this over their standard white tunics and padded skirts. Dosa’s helmet lay in his lap, Mintak’s was on his head already as expected, while Noma’s was held under her arm, her warrior’s braid free in the breeze. Their bronze swords were all sheathed, while Joshan was the exception, his held with the point towards the ground.
“Mintak’s right, it’s a big mission, but that doesn’t mean we should be snapping at each other,” he said, the others remaining silent and at attention. “We’re already prepared for the Sergeant, let’s wait for him to get here and give us our marching orders,” he concluded. He looked around at his squad, each of them not bothering to try and continue their previous argument now. Sheathing his sword, Joshan sat back down while Dosa continued his prayers. He remembered how the others had reacted when they’d heard the news that the enemies who’d driven their ancestors out of their ancient homeland had seemingly sprung out of myth, Mintak had seemed the most eager to go and engage them in combat. Noma had been harder to read, while Dosa had prayed every chance he’d gotten.
Joshan hoped the gods were listening, as the returning Khorati were told to have unknown weapons of a material unknown to even the Lodge scholars in the capital.

I expect it does not involve my people's destruction and it is happy? Regardless yes, in the meta thread No, no it does not, though it's not exactly a happy one.

Most of the food eaten by the Hakshah is actually a fistsized fruit that grows on the stems off the branch's that grow from the ground, but at the top of these stems are a sort of grain that can be heated into soups and taste quite good or ground into tiny pieces that can be mixed into other foods or potentially even baked if one would do that. There are also small game about the size of a good or sometimes bigger often caught by the traps left by huntergatheres for food, and sometimes some bigger things are brought in by the Mosi that can feed even more. Meat is not a big part of the diet, but does have it's own place. Ah, good to know. Thank you. Though I'll hazard a guess that the Hakshah aren't really baking any bread as of now.

Say, what sort of foods are my people eating exactly? I remember seeing mention of some grains in the previous round, yet in the description there isn't really any mention of what my tribe grows for food. This may or may not have any impact on my entry into the challenge.

Alright, so far so good, could have gone better but the Mosi honey seems to be wonderful at preserving food at least. Grass huts will work for now, but they can't be a permanent solution.
Vote 1: Start efforts to create pottery, whether out of mud or clay from the spring. Who knows, it may expand our food preservation efforts.
Vote 2: Establish the religion of Cantism, focused around the pantheon of gods (primarily Canti, who created the sun from his own essence and chief of the pantheon), who formed the world from the clay of the Eternal Spring at the beginning of time. From there they each shaped the many things in the world according to their ken. They are responsible for reincarnation, and also created the race of giants that came before the ancestors of the Hakshah. The giants are themselves gone now, but may live on in the bloodlines of the Hakshah.

Cosmic horror was the angle I was going for. But no, he can't teleport people directly there, he needs to open a portal first and shove them in, which is why the element of surprise is so crucial to it. Anyway, he can start on the outskirts of Fable City, not a Sky Tram station as that'd be too public and easy for him to be discovered too fast. So, he kind of walked there.

Say, I'm currently working on an assignment for a creative writing class, and right now I'm pondering setting it in this world that we've all been building. Particularly, it focuses on (possible) future events if my Ushnuk survive long enough to ever make contact with the Khorati again. Any thoughts on that?
Please note that since it represents a possible path down the road, I'll be taking a few guesses as to the paths taken, but I'll do my best to be fair in portrayal of both peoples.

Alrighty, here's my third character for your perusal:
Name: Unknown, all records destroyed, "The Warp Dragon," various aliases when contact with humans is unavoidable.
Description: A young, slender man in his late twenties by all appearances. However, prominent horn growths sprout from his temples, segmented in appearance and large enough to stick several inches above the top of his head. Forehead is taken over by a similar growth of armored plates, resulting in hairline receding in its wake. Extremities have also become covered in these armored growths, most prominently the fingers and toes have seemingly morphed into claw-like digits. Flexibility of limbs has not been hampered. Extensive physical mutation has resulted in an enlarged spinal column and armor growing along the back similarly to the rest of the body. Teeth are slowly becoming sharp fangs. Skeleton is slowly calcifying, hardening and growing.
Powers: Extensive reality warping ability in the form of opening portals into a previously unknown dimension, from which eldritch limbs resembling draconic claws, a tail, and even a horrific visage can sprout. Can open tears at will, but cannot keep them open for very long at the moment, but enough to temporarily expose an off-guard nearby individual to the realm on the other side. Extradimensional fire can also be shot from these temporary portals, ostensibly from the draconic face Warp Dragon has shown the ability to summon. Warp Dragon is also stronger and tougher than unmodified humans, and can use its portals to teleport certain distances, or "backtrack" to a place it previously teleported from.
Equipment: Long hooded coat, street clothes, cash
Backstory: The end result of one of the earlier extra-dimensional therapies gone wrong, the entity now known as Warp Dragon has left no traces as to its exact origins, but what can be inferred is that the therapy somehow tied the entity to a human host that was part of the initial experiment. Now Warp Dragon is slowly overwhelming its host and physically entering our dimension as the host's body slowly mutates and deforms to fit the Warp Dragon's own desired shape. It is unknown if the original host is still inside this gestalt being, or if the entity that now controls it has snuffed them out. What is known however is that this entity is decidedly malevolent, if a bit unpredictable in terms of an exact strategy.
And there we have him, if that's not suitable for this though, I've got a back up that should be more appropriate.
