Alright, I've looked into a few programs and I think I've found some. None of them are web based however. All of these are open source. Tox:tox.chat/en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tox_%28protocol%29Pros: Has accounts, group chat, private messaging, voice chat, video chat, file transfer, fairly customizable design, and I guess fits what you call secure. Cons: Not many Retroshare:retroshare.sourceforge.net/en.wikipedia.org/wiki/RetroSharePros: Has most things that Tox has. Cons: Is more complicated and comes with some unnecessary things in our case. Pidgin:pidgin.im/en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pidgin_%28software%29Pros: Is compatible with a wide range of services, very customizable, supports plugins, file transfers, group chat and PMs Cons: Has voice and video but only for XMPP on Unix-like systems, is pretty complicated for new users

Also, people will make MLG parody videos with it. *360 degree turn and headshots enemy soldier with an arrow* *hit mark and airhorns* It's "MLG Parodies" now? Well it fits it better considering montage parodies are barely even parodies of montages anymore.

Not really. I never found a chat client which ticked all the boxes. If anyone wants to help search for one I'd appreciate it. Do the chat clients have to be web based? Also, what are all the requirements for one?

IMO the hard part will be who you will actually play as in the society/industrial stages because, like I said, no civilization lasts forever and it wouldn't be historically accurate to play a tribal nation (with the same name) that expands over the course of thousands of years.

I see you're new! Welcome to the forum! This is a community forum s we can talk about anything we want here as it does not decide what will and will not be in the final game. It's just wild speculation. Just some fun Thanks, and yes, I do know that what we say doesn't decide what the devs will put in the game. What I said was just my opinion on the matter.

I've been a bit concerned about the Society and Industrial stages, that they might suffer from a lot of historical inaccuracy much like Spore. It might sound easy to make it historically accurate, but it's not really as easy as it sounds.
In Spore, we have tribes that form cities, and then conquer other cities and expand their civilization. This is quite obviously not how it worked out in real life. How about other games? In the Civilization series, a few people found a village, then the people of that village found more villages and conquer other villages, eventually becoming cities and they develop throughout time. This is also inaccurate. In real life, civilizations sprung up in many different ways. They were inherited, conquered by outside forces, proclaimed by separatists, and united through diplomacy, war, and so on. Civilizations also didn't last forever (like the color red in spore lasting from the tribal ages to the space age), so that also adds a problem.

Just no. This will be a huge turn-off for many who are looking for a scientifically accurate Spore.
I really fail to see why organic wheels would even be superior to legs from an evolutionary standpoint. With legs you can jump, walk up cliffs, those sorts of things. With organic wheels and no powerful engine you would have a hard time on hills and mountains (if organic wheels were even possible)
Edit: Some more disadvantages of wheels. Difficulty with obstacles Difficulty swimming In some cases higher fragility than legs Easily stuck in sand, soil, clay, etc.

I think it is unnecessary. People might get confused seeing concepts that aren't even official, but take it as being so. People are already giving ideas on the forum either way.
Also, given my experience with a lot of Wikia sites, they tend to spur out of control rather quickly without a very dedicated administration.
