Not sure if I'm the only one with this problem, but lately the site will redirect me to a porn or clickbait site when browsing for longer than 20 seconds. This doesn't happen on other sites.
Is the forum going the same way as the old one?

Right. This hasn't happened for me but the fact it keep getting reported makes me angry at Proboards. Some searching throws up these threads: support.proboards.com/thread/594107/porno-pop-upssupport.proboards.com/thread/594183/reporting-adssupport.proboards.com/thread/593811/redirected-forum-membersupport.proboards.com/thread/589765/got-forwarded-eitoodomain-attempted-downloadThey all say the same thing. First, check your own machine to make sure there isn't malware on it (using Malwarebytes or similar). To me that seems a lazy response but whatever, anyone experiencing this problem give it a go. Then check you don't have any malicious browser extensions and if you still get the problem do a full re-install of your browser. After all that the solution is to report the ad here. There is apparently only a single thing we as the forum owners can do to prevent this happening rather than just responding to it when it does happen, and that's get rid of ads completely. That costs money. Moopli is the official owner of this site, so it's his money we're talking about. The alternative is to go to a new forum. That seems annoying so shortly after doing it once before. Discourse allows migration from other forum hosts but doesn't mention Proboards, and even then it's effectively a programming job to make sure everything works properly.

I don't have any issues, and would suggest to install the ad blocker plugin. I have it for Firefox and it makes life wonderful.

I get it occasionaly, something I found that helps mostly is to make sure you are in Wi-Fi and have it set to web browser instead of mobile site. But that's for phones so if that's not the problem I'm not sure

I also check the site a lot on my phone (at work and stuff) and don't have any issues there either.

So the cheapest ad-free plan is $6/month for up to 50k pageviews.
But, I refuse on principle to reward a company for causing me (and especially others who depend on something I manage) headaches, so if we can't handle this through their customer support and through adblock, then we'll just have to up sticks.
