The game will mainly be focuse in and around 'Fable City' the first megapolis of the world (though not the only one) ! Beeing the first megapolis of the world many compagnies have their main HQ in here even 'The Beacon Association' has their main HQ in this city ! This of course makes it a very important target for many villains.
In game it's the year 2050.
Thanks to Superintillgent heroes many sci-fi technologies are now common place a few example's : most of the transportation in Fable City happens with Sky Trams, flying cars ,though expensive, are not extremely rare , and semi-sentient AI are not uncommon !
Ways of gaining superpowers
Basic Gene-Therapy
The method that created the orginal superheroes, basic gene therapy is a rather weak method compared to later ones. With this method it is possible to slightly enhance one's natural abilties, to create humans that are faster, stronger or smarter then baseline humans. Powers can be inherited in a similar way to 'normal' genes.
Advanced Gene-Therapy
One of the most common ways to gain superpowers, Advance Gene-Therapy allows to push one natural abiltiies beyond that what was previously thought to be biologicaly possible. Things like superstrenght, superspeed, supersense's have been created with this method, but also things like X-ray vision have been devlopped. Powers can be inherited similar to those of Basic Gene-Therapy, although some 'manufactures' have made it so that the gene's responsible for the superpowers are dominant over any other, highly increasing the chance of inheriting powers. An other interesting thing about this method is that the 'Supergenes' have shown the ability to randomly change themself, creating new superpowers or removing them. This process is highly dangerous however, and can cause strange barely understood ilnesess.
Nanobot Therapy
With this method the superhuman is injected with a dosis of self-reproducng semi-sentient nanobots. The host is capable of controlling these nanobits because a few of them are linked to the nervous system, and will sent signals to the other nanobots signifying what the host wants. Nanobot Therapy is capable of copying the powers given by Advanced Gene-Therapy al be it to a lesser degree. The place where Nanobot Therapy shines however is the manipulation of elements. It possible for a select few nano-bots to leave the hosts body and to manipulate certain elements found there. This allows for powers like Pyrokenisis, Aquekinesis and various other powers. The inheritance of powers is determined by the quality of the nano-bots, with low quality ones unable to be inherited and higher quality ones inherited. One interesting property of the nano-bots is the fact that they are capable of randomly changing their AI, and bodies, allowing for new powers to be formed. This process is not without dangers however, as it is common for certain nano-bots to go roouge, causing great harm to the hosts body. Do to this properity, powers inherited by childeren of these Metahumans are usualy completely random, although they often stay in the same 'theme 'as the originals powers (e.g a person with water-related powers will get childeren with other water-related powers.)

This method increases the natural abiltiy of humans to send and receive 'brainwaves' (yes pseudo-science brainwaves are a thing now. I'm not sorry), giving the host powers like telepathy and telikinesis. The limits of this power are stil largely unkown and the power itself is barely understood. Powers cannot be inherited by childeren. This method also has the properity of developing new powers, although it is again not without danger, with Metahumans often developing brain sicknesess.
Extra-Dimensional Therapy
Youngest and least understood of all the therapies, Extra-dimensional therapy gives Metahumans the power to softly manipulate reality itself (more psuedoscience yay !), creating things like pocket dimensions and portals, a long with various other strange powers. This method was discovered by accident, and it remians largely unkown how it works...
Cybernetitic Implants
One other way to gain superpowers is of course to replace ones limbs with cybernetic ones. This is a fairly basic method, and pwoers are of corse not inherited.
Other
And finally their are the Superheroes who simply use various gadgets to gain powers.

Rules
in this game you will take control over a superhero or villain (or an anti-hero or anything in between really) so here are the rule's
The game will work in 'rounds' you can preform one action per round talking doesn't count as an action and your free to communicate with other players between rounds (simelar the the 'X files RP')
for most actions- one regular six-sided dice will be thrown to determine the succes of said action
every player who joins will receive a PM from me where in i will give you 'confidential' information (your free to share this information with anyone) this can be compared to 'note passing' in DnD (again simelar to the 'X files RP)
if you don't post your action in a certain time i will take (temporalrly) control over your character this is done in order to avoid inactivity and to avoid the game from well deeing
EDIT : new rule : please specify if there's a specific place in Fable City where you'd like to drop your character off if you do not specify i will drop your character off at a Sky Station
New rule: every player can only have three characters, this is done in order of preventing the amount of characters growing too crazy. The second reason it is done, is so that I don't have to let any new players down.

I also encourage you to make original powers want an AI ? go ahead ! a Venom like parasite ? go ahead ! an alien ? go ahead ! please don't make your character to Op though . also unless you state that your character is the only one of it's kind i will make NPC's with the same charactsistics
Akso note that this is my first game i GM and that i don't have a lot of writing experience. So any feedback is welcome ! i also tend to make a lot of typo's so please forgive me for that if there's a typo that really bothers you your free to tell me and i'll fix it , if anything is unclair be free to ask

A few years ago China began doing experiments in order to create the first Supersoldier . A soldier with more strenght a more intellignece more speed. And ,to a certain extent , they where succesfull . they created the first Superhumans humans thathad more intelligence , more strenght , more speed and so on. Of course word quickly spread about these so called 'Superhero's ' and many nation wanted to have their own and so more Superhumans where created . In the beginning of this most 'heroes' worked for their respective goverment with only a few more roque like Supers who hid or became mercenary's. Thanks to 'Supers' with more inteligence many new discoveries where made , however ,incidentialy ,this had consequence of the creation even more Supers with more 'extranormal powers' like Ice powers , flight , telikenisis and many more, suddenly heroes where popping up everywhere some as a result of experimentation and others as a result of more 'strange matters'. In the beginning this wasn't a big deal however, soon some Supers started abusing their powers , the first of these so called 'supervillains' where just croocks using their powers to do tings like robbing banks , hacking computers , spying , ans so forth . Quickly however individuals with more 'sinister' plans started to appear some of these became dictators others just simply destroyed in their madness.But as they say when the need is highest salvation shall soon apear, the first real superhero's apeared , some did it really for justess others just for monny and others commisioned by the goverment. However these first 'Heroes' where rather clumsy and sometimes destroyed whoel building in their fights so soon the normal populace became annoyed and heroes without powers started to apear simply relying on technologie or simple skils.These first heroes had other problems however , soon conflicts between heroes apeared and some spend more time resolving these conflicts then they spend fighting crime ! So in response to this some heroes assembled together and decided to found the first Super organisation: 'The Beacon Association' ! Many Supers joined the Association and many others where forced in to joining one way or another. Of course the 'villains' quickly responded to this and many founded new organisation in oder to be able to keep up with the heroes. Soon after this more of these type's of organisation popped up some for Heroes others for villains. And that's where we are today
