Welcome mouthwash!
I really like the layout and options in the forum. It's friendly, professional and offers a lot without being overwhelming. I would consider playing with the color choices, or editing the css a bit, but it's fine.
The one issue I have, is when it tells you that you have notifications on your profile tab, I wish you could click on the notification its self to take you directly there.
Anyways welcome... again.

So. It's been a while. What's happened in the past few months? The dev forum looks deserted; please tell me that doesn't reflect the state of the project.

More like it's kinda been in stasis, mostly ideas getting flung around from what I can tell. Then again, I'm not a developer so I wouldn't really know

I thought we were past the 'idea stage.' What are the disagreements about?

No don't worry that's not the case. It's because we have a private Slack discussion chat where we do far more discussing than on the forums, but more casually. The recent lull in activity is mostly due to constrained time schedules of the team with school and life and the such, but only temporarily do not despair. If you want a sight of recent progress check out the new release candidate! (http://thrivegame.freeforums.net/thread/1180/3-rc2)

It's definitely a constant issue that we have to remind ourselves to use the development forums more often, but the reason we have both is because the forums are better for in-depth, multi person discussions on big topics with lots of research, multimedia, diagrams, subdiscussions, etc. Slack is more like an extensive private messaging and group messaging network. It's far superior for quicker, smaller, and more focused discussion. The work that has been happening lately has, to be fair, been more in the vein of small discussions between few people, so not really fitting of the development forums.
