I downloaded the .tar.gz file for Thrive 0.3.1, extracted it, and tried to run SetupThrive.sh. When I did, this happened:
Using 1 threads to compile Running in folder /home/evan/Desktop Unkown linux OS "LinuxMint" After that, I changed "Ubuntu" to "LinuxMint" on line 91 and ran it again. This came up:
Using 1 threads to compile Running in folder /home/evan/Desktop Installing prerequisite libraries, be prepared to type password for sudo [sudo] password for evan: Reading package lists... Done Building dependency tree Reading state information... Done E: Unable to locate package bullet-dev E: Unable to locate package boost-dev E: Unable to locate package tinyxml-dev E: Unable to locate package glm-dev E: Unable to locate package ffmpeg-dev E: Unable to locate package svn Package manager failed to install required packages, install "bullet-dev boost-dev build-essential automake libtool libfreetype6-dev libfreeimage-dev libzzip-dev libxrandr-dev libxaw7-dev freeglut3-dev libgl1-mesa-dev libglu1-mesa-dev libois-dev libboost-thread-dev tinyxml-dev glm-dev ffmpeg-dev libavutil-dev libopenal-dev cmake make git mercurial svn" manually
Does anyone know how I can fix this? I am using Linux Mint 17.3.

Sorry for the lack of reply. I was waiting for someone else to answer but it seems they haven't. The programmers have heard similar problems elsewhere, and until our one Linux developer (Moopli) returns we can't do anything about it. Again, really sorry.

AS oliveriver put it, we'd need moopli to really resolve this. What you could do is make an ubuntu 14.04 (which was used to make the script) virtual machine and run the script there and it should work there (or at least be much much easier to help debug).

Well, that's really strange. When did you last `apt-get update`? Since you're on Mint, maybe you should switch the package manager the script uses (which would probably necessitate changing the package names and possibly make things difficult with missing packages)?

Well, I suspect that Mint and Ubuntu have different default apt ppas, and since apt-get complained of so many missing libraries, I'm guessing that they simply use different conventions for naming library packages. For example, 'libfoo-dev' vs 'foo-devel' or something. So if you just `apt-cache search` for the name of one of those missing libraries -- for example, for bullet-dev you might search for 'bullet', and maybe find a package named libbullet-dev or bullet-devel that has the same contents.

I tried that and it worked for a while, but then another error occurred. I can't show it to you because I accidentally copied something else and closed the terminal before I could copy it again.

Is this going to be fixed in the next update?
