Congratulations on the recent 0.3.0 update by the way! But the only grudge I had with the 0.3.0 update was the compounds, which play a crucial role in my perspective.
When I go out to collect compounds, there is no explanation for what each of them provide, I usually go to a cluster of compounds, and I end up getting drained of oxygen or ATP and thus rendered unable to move, this is inscrutably frustrating for those who do not know which compound to collect. I'm not much of a science person, but if a there's a list of what each compound can do, that can make gameplay much easier at least for some of us.
My cell also tends to die quickly because either my oxygen or ATP gets drained quickly, again, this is not explained in-game.
I understand if this is currently for play-testing only, but I recommend adding something on the help screen that can provide helpful information about these compounds (especially if science fiction was tossed in).

Very legitimate concerns. Until we get a tutorial and/or help menu into the game, the wiki should be your source of how the game works: thrive.wikia.com/wiki/Thrive_WikiThe wiki is currently missing some info (updated pictures of the organelles, new processes in the game, some links between pages, etc.) but I wan't to try to avoid doing that to encourage fans to start managing it themselves. However it should have answers to many of the things you are wondering. Otherwise you can always ask questions here or on our reddit.

A post I made on another thread: I honestly would love a tutorial. I often find myself struggling as I'm not exactly sure what compounds I need. I usually just find a spot with all four compound emitters and take in everything, but now that we jettison excess compounds, that's not the most efficient tactic and I'm completely lost in the game. Also bug for 3.0V2: Right clicking organelles doesnt work sometimes for some reason and I end up making a bigger cell than intended... Here's a list of all the processes, according to the configs.lua file: Input | Output | Organelle used | 1 Glucose, 6 Oxygen | 6 CO2, 36 ATP | Mitochondria | 6 Amino Acids, 6 Glucose, 6 Oxygen, 6 ATP | 5 Reproductase | Nucleus | 1 Glucose, 1 Ammonia | 1 CO2, 1 ATP, 1 Amino Acids | Nucleus | 3 Oxygen | 1 Oxytoxy | Toxin Vacuole | 6 CO2 | 1 Glucose, 6 Oxygen | Chloroplast |
