Atrox that's an intresting idea indeed. What would the original ancestral dragon be though ? I'm guessing Drakons (Greek version of dragons, can't fly, can't breath fire (with a few exeptions) has essentially un-penetratable skin, and is incredebly strong). Immortal_Dragon Yeah my bad, i'm not so good with names. mitobox that's pretty cool ! I'm assuming we don't need much more explanation for Orcs ?

Now aside from maybe a bunch of scientists having too much fun in a lab, how would you go about having a realistic griffin?
The closest thing I can think of is that a predatory bird species evolved an extra set of back legs, larger size, and claws that resemble a lion's.
