Hello,
it's been ~3 hours since I downloaded this simulation and checking it out.
Have got to say, it's awesome
So, the program crashes frequently ... Like in 3 hours I got over 20 crashes!
I also got twice a weird bug, in which when I went for mutation,
the graphics where all there (except the gray block graphics) and I could place my new
elements (like cells, octopus feet etc) ANYWHERE, like, the new on top of the older ones...
I got even a bug once (right after saving the mutation after the above mutation bug appeared)
that didn't show *only* the "tools" of the other organisms. I could see their outline (in normal graphics)
but there was nothing on them...
The crashes I got where:
-While swimming around (~4 times)
-When pressing Load: ~80% of the time, and if it happened, it won't stop repeating until
I start a new game and save. Or it could be 100%, can't remember.
*Interesting note*: because this bug rendered the simulation program useless... I found a way to trick it
apparently, starting a new game, (skipping the tutorial) and pressing "Load" afterwards, while in the "world",
does load the map normally
-Hitting F2 is just plain cheating... (mutating with full 50 points whenever I want to).
(- Is still every menu choise grayed out in the game as I see them, or is it a bug? I only have new game/exit.
After save, load comes in not grayed too.)
-Once, hitting undo in the mutation panel crashed the program instantly... (never dared to try it again )
-Starting a new "game", (skipping tutorial) and then back to main menu, starting again a new "game" (and skipping tutorial)
places you back int the first "new game" you started before. I think I first found out about that when saving, going to menu,
starting a new game, and finding out it loaded the previous one... xD
I'm happy this program is bug free ^.^ hahahahaha, omg! hahaha, so much work
Now, please tell me how to grab an error log for you... The only log windows search gives in the programs installation folder
is CU-something and OGRE log.
Almost forgot, my P.C. spec.s (feel free to ask for more):
-Windows 8.1,
-DELL
-Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-4210U CPU @ 1.70GHz 1.70 GHz
-RAM 8GB
-NVIDIA GeForce 820M (eeehm, can't be sure for that...)
-Anything else you ask me
PS.: I searched the F.A.Q. you have (ctrl-f: Bug) and had nothing on HOW to submit a bug... So I didn't find anything about the log.
Also in 2 bug submits I visited, people already knew about the log, none asked, so I didn't get the answer ...
