I watched some videos of Planet Explorers and I was wondering if Thrive's Tech Editor would have similar mechanics than Planet Explorers's Creation Editor... (Here's an example)

Ok, so here's how I would see the editor:
Parts: Vital parts that keep the vehicle running like coolant vent, engine, etc.
Hull: A metal covering to protect the vehicle parts inside.
Belgiumpit: A glass shielding for people to see through (obviously) although in the late-industrial stage you can have cameras to surround the vehicle instead.
Details: Pretty stuff to put on the vehicle.
Mobility: Same as parts but things to move the vehicle like wheels, legs, etc.
You got any more ideas?

Things that allow it to interact with the environment such as grabbers or weapons.

For making tools, you could put different ends (FPs) on an object, such as blades, flat shovel ends, curved rake claws, etc. The shape of the object will influence the use, such as digging/tilling, or dealing different damage types.

Ive always think that everything customizable must have a certain vital part that must be added to the creation in order to function (Ex: mouths in the creature creator of spore)
In this case, it might be the driver's seat or the engine

Why not things like radio dishes/antennas for communicating? Or at the end of the industrial age, you use solar panels?
Hold on! I just got a beautiful idea!
What if, you have limited fuel on the planet(gas) When you start the industrial stage, you're given really no efficient technology, and you have to adapt to make more efficient fuels, or more renewable fuels before the 'gas' runs out, which sends you back to tribal or whatever, or greenhouse gases kill your species?

Sounds too linear. On a Thrive planet,mothers could either be too much fuel or too little, it depends. Making this a task-driven game is going away from what it's meant to be.
